DERIKOCHA WS | GRADE 1 | NATURAL
The Guji region borders the Yirgacheffe region in the west and the Sidamo region in the north. Around 650 coffee farmers deliver their cherries to the Derikocha Washing Station. The cherries are dried in the sun on African beds for about 18-21 days. During the day, the cherries have to be turned over constantly to ensure an even drying process. The cherries are covered from 12 to 3 pm during the day to protect them from the hot sun and rain at night.
